Casemiro is now attracting fresh interest from Saudi Arabian clubs – with the Brazilian being ONE of THREE high-earning players Man United are willing to sell this month

Manchester United midfielder Casemiro is reportedly drawing interest from Saudi Arabian clubs Al-Nassr and Al-Qadsiah. Last summer, Al-Ittihad had shown interest in the 32-year-old, but most Saudi clubs currently have their full quota of foreign players and will need to sell before making new signings.

United is open to selling Casemiro, who is among the club’s highest earners with a salary of £350,000 per week. He joined the club from Real Madrid in 2022 for £60 million, and his contract runs until the end of next season. While Casemiro had an impressive debut season with the Red Devils, he has struggled to maintain that form and has often found himself on the bench since Ruben Amorim took over.

The club also wants to offload other players, including Christian Eriksen and Victor Lindelof. After the recent 2-0 defeat to Newcastle, Gary Neville commented on the pairing of Casemiro and Eriksen in midfield, stating, “No, no. They may have to if there’s lots of injuries.” He emphasized that both players, being in their 30s, may not be the most dynamic duo, as they lack the energy required in a high-paced midfield.

In light of potential departures, United is considering targets such as Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez and Nuno Mendes from PSG, contingent upon raising funds this transfer window. The club is navigating a challenging period as it looks to rejuvenate its squad amidst ongoing performance issues.
