At a Madame Tussauds pop-up event today, Kylian Mbappe debuted his waxwork statue. Mbappe was shocked by the likeness of his waxwork.Today, it was made public that the France winger would captain his team in 2024.

The image on the left has Mbappe mimicking his famous celebration while donning the new France uniform.

Mbappe chuckled and grinned at the person in front of him before moving forward to examine it more closely. It appeared as though he was poking its ear before nudging its eyebrows.

The winger, who is among the top ten sportsmen in Forbes’ 2024 salary rankings, allegedly described the monument as “sensational” and joked, “It’s more Kylian than I am.”

It follows Mbappe’s recent announcement that he will be departing Paris Saint-Germain this summer upon the expiration of his contract with the French powerhouse. 

Since Mbappe turned down a contract offer to remain with the Ligue 1 winners in the past, it was widely anticipated that he would depart.

On stage, Mbappe could be seen pushing a button to reveal the waxwork by pulling back a curtain.
