Kroos and Rüdiger became the first madridistas to book their place in the quarter-finals of the European Championship after Germany beat Denmark at Signal Iduna Park. Now, Germany will play the winner of Spain vs. Georgia. A matchup with Spain, who have won all of their games so far without giving up a goal, could be very exciting.

After a closely contested first half, which was interrupted for more than 20 minutes by a heavy thunderstorm, Germany struck in the second period. They took the lead through Havertz’s penalty in the 53rd minute after the VAR alerted the referee to a handball by Andersen. A quarter of an hour later, Musiala made it 2-0 to secure their place in the quarter-finals.
