In the Premier League on Saturday night, Manchester United and Crystal Palace played in a disappointing 0-0 tie.
At Selhurst Park, the first half was controlled by the Red Devils, who should have been two or three goals ahead.
Bruno Fernandes and Alejandro Garnacho both hit the post, and keeper Dean Henderson made several amazing saves.
The second half was just as close. Andre Onana made an amazing two saves that kept the Red Devils in the game.
While there were many good things to take away, Fernandes should be upset about yet another poor attack.
This season in the Premier League, the United leader has taken 17 shots. At the moment, this is the best score without scoring a single goal.
In the last third against Palace, he missed the cutting edge. Over 90 minutes, Fernandes lost the ball an amazing 34 times.
The 5ft 10in star played 112 times, but only hit two of the nine long balls that were thrown to him.
Fernandes had a 72% success rate when passing, but six of his passes didn’t go in.
It was a strangely bad game for the captain, who has been the foundation of the team.
In the Premier League season so far, the 30-year-old hasn’t scored or set up a goal. Hopefully, he can change that soon.
United plays FC Twente in the Europa League on Wednesday night. On Sunday, they host Tottenham Hotspur in the league.
Fernandes needs to play well this week because he has a big game at home against Spurs coming up.
