Due to a hamstring injury, Man United’s enforcer in the middle of the pitch, Casemiro, has not been available since the beginning of November.
After rejoining the first squad, Manchester United midfielder Casemiro is focused on getting his season back on track.
After extended absences due to injuries, Lisandro Martinez and Casemiro are back to full training with Manchester United.
Casemiro posted anything on Twitter.
Martinez has not played since United’s 4-3 Champions League loss to Bayern Munich in September due to a recurrence of a foot ailment sustained the previous season.
Casemiro, on the other hand, has not played since hobbling off during United’s November Carabao Cup loss to Newcastle United in the fourth round.
The 31-year-old is eager to get back into the thick of things now that he is back to full training. United only has two games planned this month after a demanding December. The first comes on Monday against Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup third round.
Although it’s unclear if the midfield enforcer’s journey to the DW Stadium will come too soon, based on his social media activity, it appears like he is eager to get back to work. “Back to the pitch,” Casemiro wrote in a brief Instagram story that included a photo of himself from the previous training session.
The Brazilian, who moved to United from Real Madrid in August 2022, was captured on camera on Wednesday taking part in a first-team workout at Carrington. Due to a hamstring injury, he has been out of commission since the beginning of November.
On November 1, during the 3-0 loss to Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup fourth round, he was substituted off the field at halftime. The manager, Erik ten Hag, stated in an update the following week that he did not anticipate his returning until after Christmas.
Even if his play has declined from the previous season before his injury, he still brings to United a variety of skills that no other player on the team has. He’s become one of the world’s top defensive midfielders in the last ten years thanks to his ability to disrupt play and shield the back four.
Casemiro and Martinez may not be ready to return to the starting lineup for Monday’s FA Cup trip to Wigan Athletic, but a stint on the bench might be the perfect warm-up for Tottenham Hotspur’s six-day visit.
Tyrell Malacia, Harry Maguire, and Mason Mount ought to return as soon as possible.
