There were more points lost for Manchester United in the Premier League when they lost to West Ham United 2-1 at the London Stadium.
The Red Devils had a chance to win their second straight league game, and they got off to a great start by hitting the ball very well.
That being said, they did miss a few clear-cut chances. A clear goal was missed by Diogo Dalot.
In the end, Crysenscio Summerville scored for the home team in the 74th minute to break the tie. However, Casemiro quickly tied the game for United.
In the last minute, Jarrod Bowen scored a penalty goal to give the Hammers the win.
After a VAR review, it was clear that the penalty call was wrong, but United had plenty of chances to score and failed to do so.
We thought Casemiro, who was put back into the starting lineup by boss Erik ten Hag, was the best player. Ten Hag put trust in him, and he showed great skill all around.
He also set up Bruno Fernandes for a great chance, but he hit the bar with his header.
In the first half, he had another header on goal, but Lukasz Fabianski made a great save.
The 32-year-old football player had 96 touches over the course of the game and completed 86% of his passes.
He hit all of his long balls, and he won seven ground and air duels.
Casemiro did a great job on defense too, with seven clearances and nine rebounds.
The star player, who is worth £18 million, had his best game of the season, but it wasn’t enough for the Red Devils to move up in the league rankings.
United has now dropped to 14th place, seven points behind the top four after nine games.
The next league game for the Red Devils is at Old Trafford against Chelsea. It will be a tough test.
