ο»ΏAfter a short break to participate and win the 2024 Copa America with the Argentina national team, Manchester United center-back Lisandro Martinez has returned to training with the club.
Martinez, who contributed greatly to Argentina’s championship at the biggest tournament in South America, has quickly reintegrated with his teammates at Manchester United. The 1998-born player was welcomed back by coach Erik ten Hag and has started training with the whole team.
In the first training sessions, Martinez showed great energy and determination. He joined MU from Ajax in the 2022-23 season and has become a mainstay of the “Red Devils” defense. Last season, together with Raphael Varane, Martinez made an important contribution to helping MU significantly improve their defensive form, thereby winning the Premier League runner-up position and a ticket to the Champions League.
