A REAL MAKEOVER: Real Madrid stadium looks unrecognizable as it prepares fot the ‘never-seen-before’ unveiling of star Kylian Mbappe

Legends of the past have received similar treatment.

As Real Madrid is ready to introduce Kylian Mbappe as their newest star, their legendary Bernabeu stadium appears unrecognisable.

Last season, Mbappe officially ended one of the longest-running transfer sagas in football when he announced his departure from PSG after seven years in the French city.

And the forward’s deal at Real Madrid soon became the worst-kept secret in football public knowledge.

On Tuesday, July 16, Mbappe will make his formal Los Blancos team debut.

Additionally, video released by the Spanish publication AS showed the Bernabeu changing before the big day.

Although there is only grass on one side of the pitch, fans are nevertheless expected to cram into the 80,000-seat stadium to see Mbappe play.Dubbed a “never-seen-before” presentation, it is expected to rival previous legendary ones.
When they joined Real Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo, David Beckham, and Luis Figo all got similar receptions.

Mbappe, who already has his preferred Nos. 7 and 10, is also expected to debut his new No. 9 shirt.

During his first season in Madrid, Ronaldo also wore the No. 9 shirt, while Raul was still wearing the No. 7.

However, a year later, the symbol of Portugal adopted it and became associated with it.

Mbappe is coming to Spain after a disappointing Euro 2024 season in which he only managed one goal—a penalty kick—and watched as France lost to eventual victors Spain in the semifinals.Just one game into the competition in Germany, the 25-year-old sustained a horrific nasal injury that required him to wear a mask virtually the entire time.

As Mbappe gets ready for pre-season to begin in anticipation of the forthcoming season, Madrid staff members are reportedly still unsure about his level of recovery.
