On his personal page, Rodrygo made the first move after the organizers announced the shortlist of 30 candidates for the 2024 Golden Ball.

Early morning of September 5, France Football – the organizer of the 2024 Ballon d’Or award officially announced the shortlist of 30 nominees for the title . Notably, Rodrygo’s name was not included.

After the above list was made public, Rodrygo made the first move when he posted a story with images implying that his name was not in the 2024 Ballon d’Or candidate, which was really absurd. It can be seen that the image Rodrygo posted included the 3 major titles he and Real Madrid won last season, including La Liga, the Spanish King’s Cup and the Champions League. Along with that was an image of Rodrygo dueling on the field with an opponent, which showed his efforts. The image of him celebrating showed his successful efforts, along with an image of him spreading his arms to show confusion and finally a smiley face icon.

Rodrygo shared a status of feeling confused after the list of 30 nominees for the 2024 Ballon d’Or was announced.

 

Last season, Rodrygo contributed 10 goals and 5 assists in Real Madrid’s La Liga championship, he also scored 5 goals and 3 assists in the Champions League, including 3 important goals in the quarter-finals against Man City and the semi-finals against Bayern Munich.

During the past time, the Golden Ball race has always mentioned the names of Vinicius, Jude Bellingham, Rodri and Kylian Mbappe. With Rodrygo, he may not be a candidate to compete for the 2024 Golden Ball title, however, with what he has shown, he deserves to be in the list of 30 nominees.

Honestly, I can’t count 10 names on that shortlist who have had a better season than him.”

Not only Rodrygo, the list is also missing many controversial big stars , such as Kevin de Bruyne, Mohamed Salah and even Lewandowski.
