Alejandro Garnacho liked celebrating at Old Trafford like Mohamed Kudus did after doubling United’s lead over West Ham.
Garnacho scored from outside the box, giving his team a 2-0 lead after Rasmus Hojlund’s early goal.
Garnacho hit back at the away fans by jumping on the side fence and celebrating like the Ghana star.
Fans noticed right away that the celebration looked a lot like the one West Ham star Kudus did this season when he scored.
“Garnacho hit Kudus’ celebration, elite rattler,” one user wrote on X, the social media site that used to be called Twitter.
Someone else said, “Garnacho told Kudus, “Make me sit down today.”
Someone wrote, “Garnacho does Kudus against Kudus.”
That party will be legendary, said someone else. Hello, Hojlund. Oh, Garnacho. Oh, yeah. The Old Trafford Stretford End.
When asked by Sky Sports about it after the game, the Argentine admitted that the celebration had given him ideas, but he wouldn’t say where they came from.
He said, “I’m very happy because I scored two goals.”
“Yes, the party did give me ideas.”
The winger has scored four goals in his last five Premier League games and is now a regular starter at United. He said he was enjoying his new role.
“I like playing for this team in front of these fans in this stadium.” “That’s crazy,” he said.
He added, “And if I’ve helped the team, then we’ve helped the team, too. Both of us are happy.”
Hojlund, meanwhile, scored another goal on his 21st birthday, making it his second goal in the last two league games. He finally seems to have settled in at Old Trafford after having to wait three months to make his Premier League debut.
He said, “We are young; I just turned 21 and he is still 19 years old. Every day we get better and you can see the connection growing.”
