๏ปฟDeath, taxes, and Mohamed Salah scoring on the first weekend of the Premier League season are the only things that are certain in life.
He is 32 years old now, and his deal ends next summer, but the Liverpool forward is still the star at Anfield.
The Egyptian King now has more goals on the first day of a Premier League season than any other player in history. His goal in the second half against Ipswich was the ninth time he has started a season with a bang. Remember when some experts said he would only be good for one season?
Salah also set up Diogo Jota for Liverpool’s first goal with a selfless pass, which means he has now helped set up 300 goals in exactly 350 Reds games. He was so mean that it ruined the Portman Road party on Ipswich’s big day back in the top flight.
Andy Robertson, a defender, thinks Salah isn’t slowing down at all.
The Scotland captain said, “Every year he comes back in even better shape than he was the year before.” “He was one of the players who had a longer summer, which helped him a lot.” A full pre-season is behind him, and he looks fit and ready to go.
“He was great, especially in the second half when he led us to victory.”
“Mo takes very good care of his body.” He is a great worker, and everyone looks up to him. He does everything possible, which is why he’s still in such great shape.
“May that last for a long time.” It will be good for the team if our key player plays like that.
Salah was the main reason why the Arne Slot era got off to a great start. Unlike many of his teammates, Salah wasn’t away at an international event this summer. But other people should be praised, especially the new boss for making changes at halftime that helped win the game. Because Slot thought Jarell Quansah lost too many duels, he was brave to switch out his guards.
There should be credit for Ipswich’s brave play in the first half. Ten of Kieran McKenna’s players were starting their first Premier League game. But the Tractor Boys couldn’t do anything as Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and the others started to pass the ball well together. When asked what changed during the break, Robertson said, “We knew he (Slot) wasn’t happy.”
“He tried to show us how to handle the ball better and get closer to it when they had it.”
The man can raise his voice and say he’s upset, but we’re trying to figure out how to do it better by showing clips and other things.
Many meetings have been held by Arne and his staff since the beginning to try to get their thoughts across. This is hard to do during tournament years because people come back at different times. We are trying to do what he wants us to do, but it won’t be perfect from the start.
“We’re all listening, and there are a lot of group and one-on-one meetings to help us be the best people we can be.” They should be praised for their hard work. So far, they’ve gone above and beyond.
Many Liverpool fans have been upset that the team hasn’t added any new players to the first team this summer, but Robertson said that the club still believes they have a team that can compete for the title. He said, “Our team is unbelievably strong.”
“Look at the bench today, even the guys who didn’t travel. We have a great team, and the second half showed how good it is.”
“Some roles are talked about, but I thought everyone did a great job and stepped up to the challenge.” Every player on our team is very good, and I think that will be enough to fight if that’s the team we go forward with.
“Everyone wants to bring in new players, but I think our current team is very strong. If we don’t bring in any new players, we should be able to keep going for the rest of the season.”
People want you to be changed and new players to be signed. We’ve been in the game long enough to know this. Following a good 15-minute game or whatever, people want younger faces. That’s how football works.
“That’s the business we’re in.” We try to shut that out. We know what kind of talent we have, and it’s up to us to show it every week.
