Ahead of their next La Liga matchup with Sevilla, Real Madrid has gained momentum as both new recruit Arda Güler and seasoned player David Alaba have resumed training. Both the Austrian defender and the Turkish midfielder have been out with injuries, but they are almost ready to return, and in Güler’s case, make their formal club debut.
.
Güler, who left Fenerbache to join Real Madrid this summer, had strained his knee during the preseason. After bouncing back from that setback, he had a thigh issue in late September that sidelined him for an additional month. Although he had been exercising alone both inside and outside the facilities, he finished a portion of the team’s training session on Thursday.
Alaba, on the other hand, recuperated from his injury by staying behind during the international break and working out alone on Thursday. He should be ready for Saturday, October 21 at 6:30 p.m. CET, when Sevilla plays at the Sánchez-Pizjuán.
The remaining players that Carlo Ancelotti had at his disposal trained at Real Madrid City with Castilla, the team’s reserve squad. The workout began with some vigorous rondos and warm-up exercises along with some fitness work. After that, they engaged in a number of games on smaller fields.
