Real Madrid’s latest win came at a steep price, with Kylian Mbappe set to miss three weeks with an injury.
Kylian Mbappe underwent a medical on Wednesday morning, local time, to determine the extent of his injury after he complained of discomfort in his left thigh during the match against Alaves.
The medical report Mbappe and Real Madrid received was not very positive, as he suffered a hamstring injury in his right thigh.

Doctors have concluded that the 25-year-old will need around three weeks to fully recover from the injury.
“After tests carried out today on our player Kylian Mbappe by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a muscle injury in his left thigh. The treatment is ongoing,” the La Liga champions announced.
Mbappe’s alarming condition appeared in the 80th minute of the match against Alaves, when Real Madrid were leading 3-0 (3-2 on aggregate).
Mbappe proactively asked to be substituted. As he crossed the area where coach Carlo Ancelotti was standing, he put his hand on his left thigh.
Ancelotti, who celebrated his 300th match in charge of Real Madrid and a record 39 consecutive matches unbeaten in La Liga, initially expressed optimism.
“He was a bit overwhelmed and asked to be substituted to avoid problems,” Carletto said at a press conference. It was worse than he thought.
Mbappe was in good form before the injury. He has scored 5 goals in La Liga and 7 in all competitions – with 5 consecutive matches.
The incident forced Mbappe to be a spectator in the derby against Atletico at the Metropolitano stadium this weekend (2am on 30/9).
In addition, Mbappe cannot play in the away match against Lille in the Champions League, along with the difficult match against Villarreal.
Mbappe will miss 2 UEFA Nations League matches against France (against Israel and Belgium). The FIFA schedule is an opportunity for him to recover.
