The 30 nominees for the renowned Ballon d’Or award, which honors the world’s finest player based on their performances in the 2022–2023 season, were revealed on Wednesday. On October 30, at a ceremony in Paris, the winner will be announced. A group of foreign journalists will vote for the winner.

Some of the biggest names in football are among the contenders.

One of the nominees is Modri, who took home the prize in 2018. With Real Madrid and Croatia, the Croatians had a fantastic season. At the World Cup in Qatar, he led his country to a third-place result under his leadership.

Vinicius Jr. and Jude Bellingham are the other two players from Real Madrid who are on the list. With the Spanish giants, Vinicius Jr. enjoyed his second straight outstanding season. The Brazilian winger played a key role in his squad’s victories in the Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, and Copa del Rey. The top player in the Bundesliga was Bellingham, who switched from Borussia Dortmund to Real Madrid in the middle of the campaign. Five goals have been scored in his first four games for Real Madrid by the young English midfielder.
