Barcelona is likely to make a lot of moves this summer, especially since they will have a new boss after Xavi Hernandez leaves. But the club needs to get rid of some players before they can bring in new ones. One position where players could be sold is defense.

With Eric Garcia and Chadi Riad coming back, the Catalan giants will have too many center backs next season. Based on this, it looks like Jules Kounde and Andreas Christensen will be moving on. If that turns out to be the case, a replacement could even be signed.

According to Daily Mail (via Estadio Deportivo), Barcelona is interested in Murillo from Nottingham Forest. However, many other teams, including Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Manchester United, want to sign the Brazilian.

So this one doesn’t look like it will happen. It wouldn’t make much sense for Barcelona to sign another center defender this summer. Even though Murillo is a good talent, Catalonia doesn’t need him.
