Bruno Guimaraes has played nothing but amazing football since he joined Newcastle United in 2022. Because of this, some of the best teams in Europe want to sign him; David Ornstein says Barcelona is one of them.
Guimaraes was one of the best midfielders in Ligue 1 while he was at Lyon. But when he was suddenly moved to Newcastle, it was seen as a bit of a coup.
After the Magpies put their faith in the Brazilian, he has since made over 100 appearances and scored 14 goals and set up 14 others across all categories. With so many skills in the middle of the field and being only 26, Guimaraes is an important part of the Brazil team and one of the most sought-after midfielders in English football.
There have been rumors for a long time that he might leave Newcastle in the summer, and top European teams are vying to sign him. Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona, and other teams have been linked with a move for the former Lyon star as they look to improve their middle.
He said that Guimaraes “may be looking” at Barca.
The barca are thought to be fans of Guimaraes.
On The Athletic FC Podcast, Ornstein said that Arsenal might be interested in Brazilian forward Guimaraes, who has a release option. What he said:
“Then there are midfielders. One player that comes to mind is Bruno Guimaraes, who Arsenal and other teams really like.” He can play both the role of six and the role of eight.
“There is a clause that lets Newcastle get rid of him, but they will want to keep him.” He has to give up right away to whoever is going to take him.
Arsene Wenger might be looking.
Eddie Howe said that Guimaraes “changed the game.” Top-level teams would benefit greatly from his knowledge of the Premier League because it would help them keep up their good play and results.
The guy who used to play for Lyon is very good, and since Howe became manager, he and Alexander Isak have been Newcastle United’s two most important players. If Arsenal hired him, it would not only make their team better, but it would also hurt a rival team that is also competing for the title.
