Sofyan Amrabat has dropped behind the others.

Sofyan Amrabat signed with Fiorentina in 2020 after playing for several other teams. Manchester United signed him at the start of the season after seeing how well he played at the FIFA World Cup 2022. He hasn’t been getting them to sign him, though.

This season, the 27-year-old has played in 22 games but hasn’t scored or set up a goal. The player has only played 24 minutes in the last three months, so manager Erik ten Hag has lost interest in him. He is good at moving the ball and mostly plays as a defensive midfielder.

Amrabat likes to pass the ball long distances and shoot from far away. He sometimes fails to keep up the energy, though, and loses focus in the middle. There are, however, many teams in Europe that want to sign the midfielder.

A player to replace Sergi Roberto?

Man United of the Premier League paid £8.5 million to borrow Sofyan Amrabat. There was also a buy option in the contract, but the English club is not expected to use it. Because of this, a lot of clubs are thinking about making a move for the veteran player.

After this season, Barcelona is set to let captain Sergi Roberto go, so they want to bring in Amrabat to take his place. Unfortunately, the club has no plans to renew the player’s deal after it runs out in June. That’s why they’re in the market looking for something else.

Amrabat’s knowledge may help the young midfielders for the Spanish club. It will be great to have him on the team. But Atletico Madrid is said to be ahead of the pack, and this could be their first signing of the summer. AC Milan and Liverpool have also said they want to make a deal happen.
