Barcelona, a giant in La Liga, has been given the chance to sign a free agent midfielder from the English club Leicester City.
That’s what Diario Sport says, naming Wilfred Ndidi as the player in question.
Ndidi, a Nigerian player for Leicester, is about to have his deal with the team end in the summer.
The 27-year-old player has been made available to Barcelona through agents since talks on a new contract have not gone very far.
Of course, everyone knows that Barcelona’s management is looking for deep-lying midfielders to help them for the next season.
Ndidi, who is having a great season as a single player in The Championship, definitely seems to meet the requirements.
Sport then says that Xavi, the head coach of Barcelona, “has followed the player and thinks that he is an interesting footballer and that he would fit into the team.”
It’s also worth mentioning that the Camp Nou board is already in talks with Guido Rodríguez of Real Betis, who is another upcoming free agent midfielder.
