Dani Olmo continues to be on the radar of FC Barcelona

In fact, Mundo Deportivo says that Barcelona is ready to really try to sign Dani Olmo during the summer transfer window.

The process to bring in the Spanish player has already begun, with Deco speaking with the player’s agents as the first step.

Deco met with the player’s managers, Juanma Lopez and Andy Bara, as well as his father, Miquel Olmo. The meeting went well and everyone got along.

Because of this, it is now thought that Barcelona will go after Olmo’s signing with all their might, unlike the last time they tried to sign the Spanish player.

The Catalans even want to end the deal before the UEFA Euro 2024 in the summer, when Olmo’s worth could rise even more and more suitors could appear. They have told Olmo’s agents about this.

a release clause of €60 million

Olmo renewed his deal with RB Leipzig last year, making the Bundesliga club his home until 2027. The deal had a release option worth €60 million built into it.

Leipzig doesn’t want to let the Spanish international go for less money, which could be a problem for Barcelona.

Because of this, Barcelona would have to find a way to pay for him other than signing a new player.

Dani Olmo makes transfer admission following Man Utd speculation

Though it’s clear that Barcelona wants Olmo more than anyone else. They think he would be a good fit for the left wing, but they also like that he can play as a false nine, on the right wing, or even as an inner midfielder.

The same goes for Olmo. He would also be happy to go back to Barcelona after leaving for Dinamo Zagreb ten years ago.

Because Olmo and his managers get along well with RB Leipzig, Barcelona hopes that the German club will agree to some kind of payment plan.
