Barcelona’s important duo is expected to return to El Clasico, Lewandowski can start

With three of their best players almost back, Javi Miguel says that Barcelona is getting a huge boost before their game this weekend against Real Madrid. These players are expected to be on the team.

Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, and Frenkie de Jong are among them.

All three players got hurt right before the international break. De Jong’s injury was thought to be the worst of the three.

John Robert Lewandowski

The game against Porto in the Champions League is where Lewandowski hurt his ankle. He was taken off in the first half and replaced by Ferran Torres, who scored the game-winning goal.

Throughout the season, the Pole had been playing with some pain, but Xavi had been careful with him, getting him off when he felt better and not playing him for too long in a row.

Now, the story says that Lewa will likely start against Real Madrid, even though he just got back from injury. He will probably attack with João Felix, and one of Gavi or Fermin Lopez will also join them.

Raphinha Raphinha hurt his hamstring against Sevilla, just a few days after a great game against Mallorca in which he scored a goal and set up another.

The Brazilian was supposed to be out for at least a month, but he is getting close to coming back early.

He most likely won’t start the game, but he could come on around the hour mark if Barcelona are trying to tie the game.

De Jong Frenkie

The last and most important one is Frenkie de Jong, who was having a great season until he hurt his right ankle. Since the Dutchman got hurt, Barcelona’s play and ability to control games have gotten a lot worse.

It’s likely that Xavi won’t put him in any danger, and if he does play, fans can expect him to start on the bench.
