Robert Lewandowski of Barcelona has been named the February Player of the Month in La Liga.
To win the title, the Poland international scored three goals in four league matches—against Granada, Celta Vigo, and Alaves.
To win the monthly prize, Lewandowski defeated Fede Valverde, Marcos Llorente, Yuri Beriche, and Ante Budimir.
In a recent interview, the striker discussed his goal-scoring ways with the club’s media.
“I want to play football at my best all the time. I played pretty well against Getafe the other day, but I didn’t score,” he remarked.
As a striker, I think it’s critical to perform well and win games. Even Nevertheless, our performance ultimately depends on the team and whether we win. We played well and took three points the other day. However, as a striker, my constant goal is to score and contribute to the team’s victory.
Let’s hope Lewandowski plays at San Mames on Sunday and keeps up his goal-scoring ways.
