Barcelona wants to replace Robert Lewandowski with Premier League star Alexander Isak

The race to sign Newcastle striker Alexander Isak is now on between Barcelona and other teams.

The star striker is having a great season for the Magpies. He has scored 21 goals in all categories so far.

Seventeen of those goals have come in the Premier League. They are only three goals behind Erling Haaland and Cole Palmer, who have scored 20 goals each to take the lead.

He made a big difference at Newcastle since he arrived for £60 million in 2022, scoring 31 goals and setting up 4 others in 64 games.

Tottenham and Arsenal are two of the best teams in the league that are interested in him because of how well he has played.

As of today, another story says that Barcelona is also interested in signing him.

Barcelona wants Isak to take over for Lewandowski.

The Sun says that the big clubs in La Liga have decided that Isak is the best player to replace Robert Lewandowski.

And the Catalan club thinks that the Magpies might have to sell him because they need to balance their books to follow the rules about money.

The story says that a source told them that Barcelona has been looking at him since Christmas and thinks he can be the attack’s leader for the next three or four years.

It also says that the player will find it hard to say no to a move to Barcelona.

Alexander Isak will cost a lot of money.

Potential bidders think that Isak would cost around £90 million, but the Catalan giants would be willing to try to make a deal with the Magpies.

But because Newcastle needs to get rid of him, maybe there will be room for talks.
