Julio Baptista claims that Jude Bellingham is a greater goal scorer than the Real Madrid great Zinedine Zidane, despite their similarities.

The midfielder is off to an incredible start since joining the Spanish giants from Borussia Dortmund, scoring 10 goals in 11 matches across La Liga and the Champions League.

Despite his youth, the 20-year-old has already been praised as maybe the greatest player in the world and likened to a number of greats, including Paul Gascoigne, Steven Gerrard, and Zidane.

The former star of Real Madrid, Baptista, said that he and Zidane are different while believing that his style of play is similar to many other heroes’.

WHAT THEY SAID

“He has the strengths of several stars of the past and reminds me of Zidane,” he told AS. “I don’t think he has the technical excellence [of Zidane], but he has more goal-scoring ability. He also reminds me of [Frank] Lampard. His ideal position is that of an attacking midfielder, with freedom to move and be close to goal.”

After drawing 1-1 with Sevilla on Saturday, Bellingham and his Madrid co-stars will face Braga in the Champions League on Tuesday.
