BIG DADDY: Close-up David Beckham’ vintage Jaguar that Man Utd legend give for son Brooklyn in wedding – The SPECIAL car was made by 120 people

After his oldest child’s wedding to Nicola Peltz on Saturday (9 April), David Beckham got his son Brooklyn a $500,000 (£383,502) car.

David’s £500,000 gift for his son’s £3 million wedding in Florida might seem like too much, but it is probably the Beckham equivalent of the £50 M&S gift card most people get from their parents after they get married.

David Beckham gave car restoration company Lunaz – with whom he holds a 10 percent stake – a valuable assist by using one of their classic vehicles ahead of son Brooklyn’s Miami wedding

David re-engineered and powered a 1954 Jaguar XK140 as a wedding gift for his son and daughter-in-law. The newlyweds took their new wheels for a spin right away.

New pictures show Brooklyn, 23, and Nicola, 27, driving around the £71 million Palm Beach home that the Transformers stars’ parents own on Sunday morning.

David asked Lunaz, a restoration business in which he has a 10 percent stake, to help him fix up the fancy car.

Over a thousand hours of work went into making Brooklyn and Nicola’s new whip at Lunaz’s Silverstone workshop.

Twelve hundred people worked on the project, and David asked that it be finished in a light blue color. However, MailOnline reports that he “requested his name remain confidential” because it was a unique color.

Of the project, David Lorenz, Founder & CEO of Lunaz, told Auto Futures: “In creating this beautiful, electrified Jaguar XK140, we are honoured to bridge the gap between David Beckham’s professional life, where he is an investor in Lunaz and his family life.

“This remarkable car is the perfect gift to his son Brooklyn and daughter-in-law, on their wedding day. In every respect, this extraordinary electric classic car by Lunaz symbolises a bright, positive future.”

It follows reports that David reportedly ‘shed a tear’ when delivering an emotional speech at Brooklyn and Nicola’s wedding, although if photos of that beautiful Jag are anything to go by, he might have just been distraught that he had to hand the motor over and couldn’t keep it for himself.

Brooklyn and Nicola exchanged vows at the Peltz’ £76 million oceanfront estate and according to The Sun, footballing superstar David couldn’t hold back his tears.

An insider said: “David’s speech went on for about five minutes and he looked to shed a tear at one point.

“He was talking about when Brooklyn was born and how he wanted to protect him.

“He said he was sleeping on the hospital floor, holding the door shut because he didn’t want to let anyone get in.

“David got a lump in his throat and had to stop and take a breather to regain his composure, but it was a very sweet speech.”
