It is said that MANCHESTER UNITED has asked about Christopher Nkunku, a forward for Chelsea.
Now that new head coach Ruben Amorim is in charge, the Red Devils may try to make a move in January.
And the French news site L’Equipe says Nkunku might be their top choice.
The 26-year-old is said to be unhappy at Chelsea because he doesn’t get to play enough.
Nkunku has only started one Premier League game this season for Chelsea.
It is said that boss Enzo Maresca is willing to let him go.
Several teams, including United, are interested in the French player.
It’s still unclear whether Chelsea would let him join a Premier League foe.
There are still five years left on Nkunku’s deal with the Blues.
The forward moved from RB Leipzig to Chelsea for £52 million last June.
He had a lot of physical problems in his first season at Stamford Bridge.
It’s now 31 games and 13 goals for Nkunku for Chelsea. Ten of those goals have come this season.
He could be signed by Manchester United to replace Joshua Zirkzee, who hasn’t done well since coming to Old Trafford in the summer.
Last week, SunSport reported that Erik ten Hag, who used to run the team, didn’t even want to sign him.
