In January, the winger returned to Dortmund on loan after being cut off from Manchester United by Erik ten Hag.

With three goals and two assists, he has brought his career back to life and helped his team advance to the Champions League semifinal.

And Sancho is now the highest-scoring Englishman in Bundesliga history thanks to his most recent goal, a fantastic curling effort against RB Leipzig.

Sancho, 24, scored one more goal than former record holder Tony Woodcock, who played for Koln, Arsenal, and Nottingham Forest, with 40 goals in 116 games in the German top division.

However, Harry Kane, the captain of England, will probably pass him shortly since he scored twice against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday to bring his total to 35 goals.

This season, the Bayern Munich striker has been on a roll, tallying his total from just 31 appearances.

However, if Sancho commits to Dortmund permanently, he might be able to maintain his record for a little while longer.

Sancho will not return to Old Trafford unless Ten Hag is fired, but United is willing to take a loss in order to sell him.

Furthermore, according to SunSport, Dortmund is prepared to give £35 million to extend his loan agreement this summer.

In an attempt to acquire Sancho in exchange for Donyell Malen from Dortmund, United may even try to pinch him.

Red Devils executives have given up on Ten Hag and Sancho ever getting back together.
