Barcelona and Shakhtar Donetsk fought early tonight at the Volksparkstadion as both teams tried to get a good UEFA Champions League away win. Even though the Catalan club got off to a good start, they gave up the first goal in the 40th minute, when Danylo Sikan scored for Germany. There was a 1-0 deficit between the teams at halftime.
When Xavi’s team had a chance to tie the game in the second half, they missed the chance and lost 1-0 away from home.
We will look at how each Barcelona player did in the game against Shakhtar Donetsk.
In goal, Marc-Andre ter Stegen gets a 6.5/10.
The German goalie saved a few good shots, but he couldn’t keep the game clean.

Not only did Cancelo do a great job on defense, but he also played great in the Shakhtar half.

A few good tackles were made by him, and he was a good force on the ball.

Christensen did his fair share of defense and missed a key chance to move the ball forward.
Marc Alonso, LB, gets 6.5/10.
The Spanish player got the ball back twice and had a good play on the left side. In the 59th minute, he was taken off.
CM: 7/10 for Ilkay Gundogan
Even though he had a few good runs with the ball, he couldn’t score.
Oriol Romeu is the CM and got 6/10.
Romeu wasn’t afraid to make a hit, but he couldn’t change the game in the final third.
CM: Gavi got a 6/10
He had a good run with the ball, but it never looked like he would score.
I give Raphinha a 6/10.
There were two great runs by Raphinha with the ball, but they didn’t score.
Rob Lewandowski gets a 6.5/10 from us.
He caused a few headaches for the opposition defenders and won a couple of aerial duels.
LW: 6.5/10 for Ferran Torres
The Spaniard had two good chances to score with the ball on the left side, but he missed both.
