After Kylian Mbappe, the striker from France did not score in his first two league games, Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is not concerned about the forward’s start at the team.
Mbappe, 25, ended the years-long transfer saga when he signed with the La Liga and Champions League winners in June as a free agent from Paris Saint-Germain.
Even though Mbappe scored in the UEFA Super Cup final against Atalanta, the winners of the Europa League, on his debut, he has failed to score in two La Liga games and labored in both a dull home victory over Real Valladolid and a draw at Mallorca.
August 14th was the day of his final goal. Since it has only been two weeks, there is no need to be concerned. In advance of Thursday’s La Liga game at Las Palmas, Ancelotti stated during a press conference on Wednesday that “neither he nor we as a club are not worried.”
He is overjoyed to be here and is certain he wants to score in the upcoming match. Vinicius, who hasn’t scored a goal this season, feels the same way and doesn’t seem concerned either.
“(Mbappe) is developing well; I watch him getting better every day, motivated, and excited about his training.” He has a great deal of humility. His adjustment is going pretty well, in my opinion.
Ancelotti also mentioned that they were attempting to integrate Mbappe into a new center-forward role, thus a delayed start was to be expected following the retirement of important midfield player Toni Kroos.
For the most portion of his career, the French skipper has operated off the flanks.
Nonetheless, Mbappe is destined to play mainly through the middle for the Spanish powerhouses, since Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo Goes are both key members of the Los Blancos lineup.
“Every year presents a unique challenge because a team’s structure and implemented system are subject to change,” Ancelotti stated.
We also required time at the beginning of the season the previous year, needing a late goal to win numerous games.
Finding our mojo and becoming the best versions of ourselves will take some time, but this is natural.
Just as I won’t ask Tchouameni to be Kroos, I didn’t ask Toni Kroos to be Aurelien Tchouameni last year. Every player has unique qualities.
“We value Tchouameni’s characteristics, and the team has to adjust to them.”
Real Madrid is five points behind leaders Barcelona in the La Liga standings with a game remaining.
