Some well-known soccer players were at the Madrid Open match between Carlos Alcaraz and Andrey Rublev.
To start his European clay-court season, Alcaraz wanted to play in the Madrid Open. But he was hurt in his right arm and couldn’t. He also wanted to successfully defend his title for the third time in a row. In order to get to the semifinals, the Spaniard beat Alexander Shevchenko, Thiago Seyboth Wild, and Jan-Lennard Struff.
Rublev, on the other hand, was trying to get back on track after losing four matches in a row. He has had a great start to the tournament, beating Facundo Bagnis, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, and Tallon Griekspoor to make it to the final eight.
During their quarterfinal match, they fought back and forth for almost two hours. The Russian won 4-6, 6-3, 6-2, stopping Alcaraz’s chances of beating him three times in a row in Madrid.
King of football Koke and Sergio Reguilon were among the people who went to the Manolo Santana Stadium. Luka Modric, Raul, and David Villa were also there.
