Nicholas Jackson has been doing great things for Chelsea on the pitch, and now he’s doing the same things off the pitch for his old friends in Africa.
That kind-hearted shooter sent several truckloads of food to his home country of Senegal and Gambia, where he was born and where he still has family.
It had sugar, onions, potatoes, rice, and pens and books for kids in the area.
Jackson did this kind thing over the summer, and it’s not the only thing he does to help his family back home.
He begged his teammates at his old club, Villarreal in Spain, to give him old boots and gear.
He then paid to have it all flown back to Senegal and given to kids to help get them interested in sports.
According to a person close to the Blues, Nico has a strong bond with his roots and wants to help the people in the places he was born and raised as much as possible.
Jackson just signed a two-year extension to his Chelsea contract, making him a Chelsea player until 2033. This is the biggest deal in the history of the Premier League.
Also, he has scored four goals so far this season. Two of them came last weekend in a 3-0 win at West Ham, a rival team in London.
After getting his double, Jackson set up Cole Palmer, and the two of them kept working together unstoppably.
They have scored ten Premier League goals between them since the start of the 2023–24 season.
They are now the most dangerous pair in the league, two goals ahead of Ollie Watkins and Leon Bailley of Aston Villa, who are in second place.
