As the third striker for Manchester United, after Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Højlund, the Danish forward Chido Obi-Martin has been added to the first team.
A post on Fabrizio Romano’s X account on Wednesday said that the 16-year-old should get some playing time to start the new season.
What Manchester United did was the right thing to do because their forwards are still not playing well. For example, Zirkee has only scored one goal in six Premier League games, so the move makes sense.
Obi-Martin got a lot of attention in November 2023 when he scored 10 goals for Arsenal’s U16s in a 14–3 win over Liverpool.
The Danish under-17 international scored 32 goals in 24 games for Arsenal’s youth team last season. He also practiced with the first team.
