In order to celebrate Ronaldo’s birthday with other Real Madrid icons, DAVID BECKHAM traveled back to the Bernabeu.
The 48-year-old English legend moved to Madrid from Manchester United in 2003.
He continued to play 159 games with Los Blancos, recording 20 goals and 52 assists while leading his team to the 2007 La Liga championship. The “Galacticos” were the Real Madrid stars of that era, who included Beckham on the field together with Ronaldo, Zinedine Zidane, Raul, Luis Figo, Roberto Carlos, and others. In honor of former Brazil striker Ronaldo’s 47th birthday, which was on Monday, four of these legends were photographed in the Bernabeu.Alongside Carlos, Figo, and Ronaldo, Beckham posed for a photo on the Real Madrid field. And the picture garnered a ton of praise on social media.”Too many legends in one photo…,” read the tweet from Real Madrid with the image.Another responded, “The best legends in the best club,” while a third did so.Surprisingly, Real Madrid went three seasons without a victory under Beckham’s leadership. Before Beckham, Ronaldo, and Carlos won the LaLiga title two years later, Figo left for Inter Milan in 2005.After that victory, all three of them left the Bernabeu, with Ronaldo signing with AC Milan, Beckham joining LA Galaxy, and Carlos joining Fenerbahce.
