Two generations of Uruguayan strikers in Nike’s official design for La Celeste.
If you pay attention, Luis Suárez acted quite subtly with his junior Darwin Núñez when he raised his hand to cover the number 1, revealing the number 9 to imply “This will be the new number 9, the future of the Uruguay team.”
Because of the tight timeline, Nike obviously couldn’t come up with a better design for Uruguay. However, this shirt is acceptable, especially when compared to the recently used Nike Strike draft shirt.
