Although David’s £500,000 gift for his son’s £3 million Florida wedding may appear excessive, it’s likely the Beckham equal of the £50 M&S gift card that most newlyweds receive from their parents.

David Beckham used one of the vintage vehicles owned by Lunaz, a car restoration company in which he has a 10% ownership, to assist before his son Brooklyn’s Miami wedding.

The unique Lunaz logo could be seen on the back of the car when Beckham was out and about.

Brooklyn and his bride, American actress Nicola Peltz, later drove the 1954 Jaguar XK140 that had been re-engineered and given electricity. It was worth $500,000 (£383,502).

She bought a 10% stake in the UK-based repair company Lunaz in June 2021 and is an investor in the business.

Lunaz’s home in Silverstone, England, is where the old Jaguar was built from start to finish.

It comes after reports that David “shed a tear” while giving an emotional speech at Brooklyn and Nicola’s wedding. But if photos of that beautiful Jag are any indication, he may have just been upset that he had to give the car to someone else and couldn’t keep it for himself.

A person who was there said, “David’s speech lasted about five minutes, and at one point he looked like he was going to cry.”

“He was telling me about Brooklyn’s birth and how he wanted to keep him safe.”

David had to take a moment to calm down because he got a lump in his throat, but it was a very nice speech.
