English star Jude Bellingham was brutally mocked by Swiss fans on live broadcast during the Euro 2024 quarter-final match

Television cameras captured Jude Bellingham being cruelly ridiculed by a Switzerland supporter on Saturday during England’s quarterfinal match against Euro 2024.

In the first half, the England player engaged in a one-on-one match with Fabian Schar and attempted to break free from the Switzerland defence.

After Schar extended his arm to embrace Bellingham, the England midfielder grabbed Schar’s shoulder and went down.

Schar was given a yellow card for the challenge and given a free kick, but one of his supporters obviously thought the challenge was too light.

A fan appeared to be crying as the cameras panmed to the audience, perhaps unimpressed with Bellingham’s fall to the ground.

Since Bellingham’s game-winning overhead kick against Slovakia last Saturday kept England in the Euros, the player has been the stage for the past week.

His jubilation sparked outrage since he seemed to be gesturing an impolite “crotch grab” at the Slovakian bench.

After Bellingham said he didn’t mean to offend anyone, UEFA opened an investigation.

UEFA fined Bellingham £25,000 and punished him for one match, but he avoided suspension.

Bellingham has scored twice in Germany this summer; prior to his heroics the previous weekend, he had also scored the game-winning goal for England against Serbia in their opening encounter.
