Last night, ERIK TEN HAG escorted a group of gloomy Manchester United players through Stockport Station.
When the Red Devils came at roughly 10:40 p.m., they had just returned from Arsenal after losing 3-1.
Marcus Rashford gave United the lead on minute 27; however, Martin Odegaard quickly tied the score.
Erik ten Hag believed his team had won it late on, but a VAR review resulted in Alejandro Garnacho’s late goal being ruled off.
When the Gunners scored twice in stoppage time, Declan Rice and Gabriel Jesus, it was game over for the Red Devils.
Ten Hag, who was walking into Stockport Station while sporting a black cardigan, grey pants, and white sneakers, appeared exhausted.
In their team tracksuits, several United players also trudged into the station.
Hannibal Mejbri was followed by Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who was walking with headphones on.
Jonny Evans, making his second United debut, went along gravely while holding a small bag.
Sergio Reguilon, a loan signing, too lacked any sense of optimism.
Anthony Martial went through the station with an attitude of neutrality.
After the game, Ten Hag complained about the refereeing.
He said to Sky Sports, “The performance from us was fine. I think we played a pretty excellent game, but the odds were against us, therefore we lost.
“To win the game, we needed a little bit more good fortune. [For the goal by Alejandro Garnacho] There was no offside. It was angled incorrectly.
“Thereafter, [Rasmus] Hojlund was given a penalty, and we subsequently gave up a goal on a foul on Jonny Evans. It is very evident and straightforward.”You can argue that you should capitalize on your opportunities and that you shouldn’t give up a goal after leading 1-0. All of this is accurate, however I approved of the performance.
On Saturday, United will play again when they welcome Brighton at Old Trafford.
