Erik ten Hag urges Man United fans to support Marcus Rashford after the striker spoke out about ‘months of abuse’ and said ‘enough is enough’ as he struggles to match last season’s form

Markus Rashford wants to get back to where he was last season, and Erik ten Hag wants Manchester United fans to back him up.

Rashford went on social media early Friday morning to talk about what he sees as months of “abuse” directed at him.

In answer to a Man United fan account, he wrote, “Thanks for your support!” It’s been abuse for months now. It’s enough.

Rashford was booed by United fans in Sunday’s FA Cup semi-final win over Coventry City. When asked about the abuse he is getting, wants a united front to help Rashford turn around his terrible season.

Of course, Ten Hag said, “I feel very sorry for Rashy.”

“He scored 30 goals last year, which was the best season of his career, so you can see what he can do.”

“This season he didn’t perform well, and people are harsh on him.” Let us support him.

“He needs to get back to where he was last year, and everyone should behind him.”

Rashford isn’t the only player whose bad performance gets boos from the fans. Antony was booed on Wednesday night before he was taken off early against Burnley.

Rashford, on the other hand, has only scored eight goals for United this season, but Ten Hag is fully behind his winger.

He went on, “I think he needs the help.”

“Everyone knows what he can do; we all need to help and push him.” He can do better next year. We saw him last year when he was really great.

“I think the fans are always behind us,” he said.

Only Mason Mount is back with Manchester United for their game against Burnley this weekend. Ten Hag is hopeful that Luke Shaw, Lisandro Martinez, and Anthony Martial will be able to play before the end of the season.
