Marcus Rashford was seen leaving Manchester United’s training ground looking glum, following a bombshell interview in which he expressed a desire to leave Old Trafford. The 27-year-old striker was photographed in the back seat of a chauffeur-driven Bentley, trying to avoid the cameras with his hood up.
Currently serving a six-month driving ban, Rashford has been using the new £200,000 Flying Spur Azure for comfortable transport to training. An onlooker noted that he appeared to be “carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders.”
Earlier this month, Rashford stated he was “ready for a new challenge,” shortly after being excluded from new manager Ruben Amorim’s squad for the Derby Day clash against Manchester City on December 15. Since then, he has been left out of the last four matchday squads, with United set to face Newcastle tomorrow.
Rashford, who has scored 138 goals in 426 appearances for Manchester United since his debut in 2016, signed a lucrative £350,000-a-week contract after a successful 2022-23 season in which he netted 30 goals. However, he has struggled to find his form this season, managing only four goals so far.
