Real Madrid will start Jude Bellingham and Luka Modric again on Sunday when they play Cadiz at Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla.
On Sunday night, Real Madrid will play Cadiz at Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla. They will be looking to keep their winning streak going. But Carlo Ancelotti is having trouble getting ready for his team’s next game because of a new injury worry.
Vinicius Junior and Eduardo Camavinga are the most recent players who can’t play because they got hurt during the international break. Along with Thibaut Courtois, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Eder Militao, Arda Guler, and Aurelien Tchouameni, the young pair has been shown the door.
Good news, though: Dani Ceballos has returned from his recent problems and will be traveling with the team to play Cadiz. Rodrygo Goes has also shaken off a knock and is ready to play this weekend.
During his pre-game news conference, Ancelotti talked about the injuries and other problems that were affecting his team. He said about the injuries and problems in the middle of the field, “I’m not going to use Alaba there because we have Ceballos and other options.” He’s a key guy who hasn’t played much but will help us a lot. Bellingham is also coming back, and he can play inside.
“We’re short a player up front because Vinicius got hurt.” We do, however, have Brahim and have also brought in Gonzalo and Nico Paz, both of whom have done very well in the youth system. We did well when Vinicius didn’t play for a month. We beat Valencia with five goals when Bellingham wasn’t on the field. I understand how sad a player is when he gets hurt, but it does happen.
Kepa has started training again, but he is still not fit enough to play this weekend. Real Madrid will line up in a 4-4-2 shape in front of him, and Andriy Lunin will take his place between the posts.
There could be one or two changes to the defense, with Antonio Rudiger coming back to the starting group. Rudiger will play with David Alaba in the middle of the defense, and Dani Carvajal and Ferland Mendy will play as fullbacks.
When it comes to the midfield, Ancelotti doesn’t have as many choices because some players are out with injuries. Toni Kroos and Luka Modric will start together for the first time ever. Kroos will be at the base of the square, and Modric and Federico Valverde will be the two in the middle who play from box to box.
Jude Bellingham will play his regular position as number 10, which is at the very end of the diamond. Since Vinicius Junior isn’t playing, Brahim Diaz might start up front, and Rodrygo Goes will fill in in the final third. That means Joselu will sit on the bench, and Ceballos is another choice as a backup.
Lunin will start for Real Madrid, along with Carvajal, Rudiger, Alaba, and Mendy. Valverde, Kroos, and Modric will come in behind Bellingham and Diaz.
