According to MICHAEL OWEN, who has opened up about his career, he was destined to “score goals and be adored.”
During his playing career, the former superstar was one of the top attackers in international football, playing for teams like Manchester United, Liverpool, Real Madrid, and Newcastle.
Michael Owen has shared details about his time playing football.

He claims nothing compares to football and that he was destined to be a top striker, even though he has since retired and started owning racehorses.
“I was put on this Earth to score goals, to be adored by people, and to be sung to,” he told Five.
“I needed to find something that gives you that buzz when you are loved like that and all of a sudden you can’t do it anymore.”
Owen became passionate about horses and now runs Manor House Stables in Cheshire, home to more than a hundred stallions.
He was first drawn to horses when he was 23, when he first started working in the field.
Owen clarified, though: “The truth is that there will never, ever be a buzz like scoring a goal—especially a crucial one—in the final seconds of a game, at the World Cup, or something similar. That’s the reason you exist.
However, I put these [stables] in place ten years before I retired, and I still enjoy what I do when I wake up in the morning.

After a brief tenure at Stoke, Owen retired in 2013 and continues to be active as a racehorse owner and breeder.
The forty-three-year-old maintains a stable with more than a hundred horses, some of which are owned by current Premier League players, Sir Alex, and Ian Wright.
The website has been “20 years in the making,” according to Owen.
He disclosed: “We named the horse we bought together—Paul Scholes, Steve McManaman, Owen Hargreaves, and Andy Townsend—Box-to-Box since we are all on television and half of the syndicate members are midfielders.
“He has been an incredible star; he has enjoyed himself immensely and has won four or five races.”
