Real Madrid fans showed Jude Bellingham a lot of support at the Santiago Bernabeu, and Vincius made sure the team didn’t miss him by taking the lead in his team’s 4-0 triumph over Rafa Benitez’s Celta Vigo.

“Hello Jude, you have Madrid on your side.” The big poster read, “Read behind the south goal.” He served the first game of a two-match ban for swearing at the referee after his late winner in last week’s tie with Valencia was disallowed because it was scored after the final whistle.

However, Vinicius was enough on his own to ignite Real Madrid’s resounding victory. He got his tenth league goal of the year in the second half, but he was also given a yellow card for shoving Oscar Mingueza, a Celta Vigo defender, who tugged his shirt.

Vinicius’s close-range rebound gave Real Madrid the advantage. Antonio Rudiger headed Luka Modric’s corner goalward in minute twenty. Vicente Guaita stopped Vinicius’s first attempt and his own when the ball rebounded back out to him, but he was unable to stop the follow-through.

Real Madrid’s constant threat, Vinicius became enraged when Mingueza, a former Barcelona full-back, ruthlessly tugged his shirt to stop him from leaving. Vinicius nearly tore the shirt, so as soon as he got back up, he slammed the Celta Vigo man to the ground.

When his opponent fouled him for the second consecutive game, Vinicius shoved him. His neck-high push on Willi Orban almost earned him a second yellow card, but he was only booked for the first one. The Real Madrid forward was also given a yellow card this time.

With 10 minutes remaining, Madrid stretched their lead, and once more, it was a Rudiger header and a Modric corner that altered the score. 

Modric has the ability to precisely place his teammates’ heads on corners. In the 93rd minute of Atletico Madrid vs. Real Madrid’s 2014 Champions League final, Modric famously found Sergio Ramos.

Since then, he has kept up this trend, thus for the midfield player, Rudiger hammering his second corner onto the crossbar was just another ordinary workday. The ball came back out and hit Guaita in the back before it crossed the line.

When Modric was replaced at minute eighty-two at the Bernabeu, Bellingham was among those present. They cried out the Croatian’s name as he departed.

The third was constructed by Vinicius. As Carlos Dominguez’s dangerous cross curled in towards the six-yard box, the defender for Celta Vigo inadvertently turned it over the line.

There was yet a fourth to come. The 19-year-old Turkish international Arda Guler scored the goal after circling the goalkeeper and getting a feed from Dani Ceballos. Guler entered the game as a late substitute.
