People say that JUDE BELLINGHAM is breaking the rules of La Liga by playing like Gareth Bale.
The English star is off to a great start at the Bernabeu.
The 20-year-old Bellingham was bought by Real Madrid for £115 million, and he already looks like a good deal.
The player has already scored 17 goals in his first 21 games. He’s nearly there to becoming a star.
But he has been cutting holes in the back of his socks for a few years now, just like a lot of other good football players.
Bale did the same thing when he played for Real Madrid and won five Champions Leagues. He cuts the gap at the back of his thigh.
But now the Spanish newspaper AS says that’s against the law in La Liga.
They shouldn’t play in socks, shorts, or clothes that are worn out or torn. People say that chiefs “don’t care” because they know that making players wear full socks causes “medical chaos.”
That same England player, Bukayo Saka, has been seen with holes in his socks. A lot of people in the beautiful game are following this trend.
Some socks are too tight, which makes it hard for the blood to run through them.
That’s why players make the gaps: they don’t want to hurt their big legs during games.
They can let out stress in their legs through the holes.
And that helps keep them from getting cramps or muscle problems.
