It’s been made public that Anthony Martial played badly against Bournemouth, and the video pretty much sums up his season for Manchester United.
The Cherries shocked Manchester United 3-0 at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon. Erik ten Hag is still under a lot of pressure.
Dominic Solanke, Philip Billing, and Marcos Senesi scored goals to give Bournemouth all three points. They moved up to 13th place in the Premier League table and have now gone five games without losing in the top flight.
Many fans said that Ten Hag’s “baffling” tactical choices during the game were to blame for the loss.
Mark Goldbridge, a huge United fan and famous YouTuber, ripped into the players, saying they looked like they didn’t know what they were doing.
Some people didn’t like how Martial played, even though he was put in front of Rasmus Hojlund, who cost £72 million this summer.
But Martial was taken off in the 55th minute to a storm of boos from the crowd, who clearly didn’t like what the Frenchman did in attack.
Fans were interested in a certain time when Martial seemed to be standing in the 18-yard box and not paying attention to what was going on around him.
In response to the film, someone joked, “This is exactly like seeing an overweight 42-year-old me try to play football with some of the guys I do.” Please don’t jump match with me because my knees hurt and I’m old and slow… BUT THIS PERSON MAKES $250,000 A WEEK”
Another person said, “I believe Martial is the most lazy football player ever.”
Other fans, on the other hand, weren’t as harsh on the forward. They said that he was just being used as an excuse for United’s bad play.
“What do you expect him to do?” someone asked on Twitter. It was a bad throw-in, and the ball bounced away from him the other times. It was a strange tweet all around.”
