This past weekend, Nike held a launch event in Paris with England and Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho to show off their new type of Mercurial shoes.

When the “New Lights” and “Under The Radar” colorways of the Mercurial Superfly 7 and Vapor 13 came out, Nike held another big event in Paris. The first time these boots will be worn is in the Women’s World Cup Final in Lyon, which is farther south on Sunday. Quick players for the USA and Holland will wear the blue “New Lights” drop to mark the start of a new era for Nike speed. But before that, the Swoosh did something strange with a Paris-based hit.

There was fast-paced football on a blue field with players from other countries in both the men’s and women’s games. In the beautiful Nanterre neighborhood of Paris, the Mercurial was being brought by drone. It was a great way to end one season and begin a new one. Before Nike designers talked about how the new Mercurial project would work, Jadon Sancho, Caroline Graham of Norway, and Andressa Alves of Brazil played on the field.
Watch out for in-depth chats with the Nike design team where they talk about how they made the next Mercurial and the problems they had to solve. An interview with Jadon Sancho will also be shown. He will talk about his bigger part at Nike in the next generation of shoes, his great 2018โ19 season, and what’s next for the England and Dortmund player. Also, the first Mercurial moves are still going on. One of the limited drops is coming out tomorrow, July 8.
