This weekend, the Swoosh dominated Paris for a special launch event with Manchester United and England’s Jadon Sancho, showcasing their new line of Mercurial sneakers.
Nike staged another huge party in Paris to celebrate the debut of the Mercurial Superfly 7 and Vapor 13’s “New Lights” and “Under The Radar” hues. These boots will make their premiere on Sunday at the Women’s World Cup Final in Lyon, further south. The blue “New Lights” drop will be worn by fast players from the USA and Holland to mark the beginning of a new age of Nike speed. But before that, the Swoosh performed a fantastic hit that was set in Paris.

Amidst a breathtaking setting in the Nanterre neighborhood of Paris, there was fast-paced football on a blue field, international athletes from both men’s and women’s sports, and the Mercurial being transported by drone. The perfect way to end one season and start the next. Nike designers revealed the workings of the new Mercurial project before Brazilian athlete Andressa Alves, Norwegian athlete Caroline Graham, and Brazilian athlete Jadon Sancho raced on the field.
