Girona’s standout midfielder Aleix García admits he wants to play for Barcelona

Girona wants to show that they’re serious about making a run for the title for the rest of the season, while Barcelona needs a win to get back into the title fight.

One of the most important parts of Girona’s great season so far has been Aleix García. This season, the 26-year-old Spanish player has become one of the best midfielders in the country. He has done especially well since Oriol Romeu left for Barcelona in the summer and was given a bigger role on the team.

This year, García got better at defense and even better at passing the ball and coming up with new ideas. He is a big reason why Girona has such a great scoring record. He is now one of many Girona players who have been linked with moves away from the club because of their success. Barcelona has already been named as a possible destination for a player born in Catalonia who was coached by Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.
