Conor Bradley was selected for tonight’s international friendly between Northern Ireland and Andorra’s starting lineup.
The Liverpool full-back, who shot to prominence this season under Jurgen Klopp with a string of outstanding performances, demonstrated real poacher’s instincts twice in six minutes to give his team a two-goal lead.
His first shot was a beautiful effort beyond the goalie at the front post, followed by a daring diving header from a great cross.
The game, which will be played at the Estadio Enrique Roca de Murcia in Spain, may not mean much to either team, but our No.84 will be pleased to get on the scoresheet for his country again.
Bradley began as a right wing back for Michael O’Neill’s side tonight evening, and despite being only 20 years old, he’s shown this season that he has what it takes to flourish on the grandest stage.
The full-back told the Belfast Telegraph this week (via Liverpoolfc.com) that ‘all my ambitions come true in the previous 12 months’, and we’re overjoyed for him.
We hope to see him continue to grow under the watchful supervision of Arne Slot and his team during the forthcoming season.
