Up to this point, Real Madrid’s season has been great, which is even more amazing when you consider how many injuries they’ve had this year. At the start of the season in August, Thibaut Courtois tore his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) while working before the MD1 match with Athletic Club.
Since then, Courtois has been getting better, but it wasn’t thought he would be back before the end of the season. The good news is that he did group training on Wednesday, which was the first time since that terrible day in August that he seems likely to make his return at some point.

Since Andriy Lunin took over as the number one custodian from Kepa Arrizabalaga, who was brought in to replace Courtois last summer, Real Madrid has missed him, though not as much as they did in the past few weeks. Courtois has been able to ease back into things, but he will be eager to get back before the end of the season.
