Gundogan 8.5, Ferran 8.0: Barcelona player ratings in second consecutive Champions League win

The night in Portugal was long and tiring, but Barcelona beat FC Porto 1-0 away from home. When Lewandowski got hurt early in the game, it was a setback for the Catalan giants, but Ferran Torres took over and stole the show.

With this win, Barcelona has now won both of their games in the Champions League group stage. The Catalan giants, led by Xavi Hernandez, will be happy with their season since they already have six points and are in first place in Group H.

These scores show how well the Barcelona players did against Porto.

7.5 for Ter Stegen

Very reliable that night, and he seemed sure of himself as he faced any danger. Also, a top-notch distribution that often made room for Barcelona which wouldn’t have been possible without the German player’s great passes and vision.

7.0 for Joao Cancelo

Some great moments were almost ruined by a bunch of unnecessary ones near the end of the game. Aside from that, Cancelo seemed tactically better than everyone else around him, and he was very important in helping Barcelona stay in charge.

7.50 for Ronald Araujo

On that night, the Uruguayan played great with Kounde and made sure that Barcelona could save everything from any attack that Porto came up with. Catalan giants fans are very excited about what’s to come after his return as a starting on Barcelona’s main defense.

8.5 for Jules Kounde

He was absolutely brilliant when it came to defense. There were a few tackles that could have been claimed to have saved goals. He was also very good at passing and knew when to stop the game, which was also very helpful.Barcelona defender Jules Kounde

Juan Alejandro Balde: 7.0

Balde may have been a good player for Barcelona when they had the ball most of the time, but his lightning-fast speed didn’t really steal the show, and he looked pretty tired. It might be time to take a break going forward.

6.5 for Oriol Romeu

Romeu seemed like the weak link of the team at times because he wasn’t sure of himself. But he quickly learned how to play, and his steady passing to Ilkay Gundogan helped Barcelona get stronger when they played out from the back until Sergi Roberto came on.

Gavi: 6.5

Almost a game of elite brilliance, Gavi tainted his own performance due to unnecessary fouls. Gavi ended the game with a red card that wasn’t necessary. Other than that, he was very good for Barcelona with passing, shooting, and even knowing where he was on the field.

8.5 for Ilkay Gundogan

Provided a reliable target for his teammates to pass to, and he also switched places to keep Barcelona in charge. His pass to Ferran Torres was also exactly weighted, and it may have been the key to all three points for Barcelona.Barcelona midfielder Ilkay Gundogan

7.0 for Lamine Yamal

Lamine Yamal was great, even though he was by far the youngest player on the field. He even broke the record to become the youngest starter in Champions League history. He was always hard for Porto to handle, and even when he wasn’t at his best, he was still a liability for the Portuguese team.

Robert Lewandowski: 6 points

He was replaced in the first because he hurt his ankle badly. The Polish scorer didn’t make a big difference when he was on the field, but the more important thing now is figuring out how long it will be before he can play again after getting hurt.Image

7.0 for Joao Felix

By far, Joao Felix was one of the most dynamic players on the field, and he made sure to show his old SL Benfica foes how good he was. He wasn’t able to personally help score a goal, but he did help hold Porto back at times.Image

8.0 for Ferran Torres

The Spanish player came on strong in this game. After Lewandowski was taken off, Ferran Torres came on and made an immediate impact. Just before halftime, the 23-year-old got a great touch on a pass from Gundogan and made sure a calm finish that gave Barcelona all three points.Image
