HALA MADRID! Real Madrid celebrate together as they are crowned LaLiga CHAMPIONS after Barcelona’s 2-4 loss to Girona

The La Liga title went to Real Madrid after Barcelona failed to beat Girona.

Ancelotti’s team went thirteen points ahead of Cadiz at the top of the table with a 3-0 win on Saturday. Goals from Brahmin Diaz, Jude Bellingham, and Joselu secured the win.

Real now has 87 points, 14 more than second-placed Barcelona and 16 more than third-placed Girona. They still have four games to play.

Real manager Carlo Ancelotti made 10 changes to the team that played Bayern Munich on Tuesday and won a 2-2 draw. He rested important players like Vinicius Jr., Rodrygo, Antonio Ruediger, and Toni Kroos before Wednesday’s return leg in the Spanish capital.

Ancelotti’s backup players showed they were up to the job by getting three points for Real and keeping them on track for the inevitable celebrations of winning La Liga.

As a bonus, Thibaut Courtois made his first start of the season in goal after missing most of the season with an ACL tear in August.

After the break, Real almost fell behind. In the 50th minute, Christopher Ramos hit the ball straight at Courtois, but Courtois made a great snap save to stop it.

Real quickly went on the attack after the Belgium goalkeeper’s shot. Luka Modric found Diaz running up the left side, and the Morocco player hit the goal with a perfect curling shot from the edge of the box in the 51st minute.

Then, in the 68th minute, Diaz set up Bellingham’s goal, who scored with a nice finish from close range. In extra time, Joselu scored after Real captain Nacho started a counterattack that left the goal mouth open.

Joselu told Movistar Plus+, “These are special times.”

“The season is almost over, and we wish all of our fans the best.” “We will get over what happened today and give our fans a great win [against Bayern] on Wednesday as much as we can.”

Real Madrid has won its 36th league title, which is a club record. It is also Ancelotti’s second win as manager of Real Madrid.

The new champions couldn’t party right away on the field with their fans, but they shared a video of their team cheering “campeones, campeones, ole ole ole” behind closed doors.

Rivals Barcelona had to tweet their greetings after the game, sending a short message on X, the social media site that used to be called Twitter.

Real’s win meant that Barcelona had to beat their Catalan rivals in order to have a chance to pass them and take the top spot.

With the heat on, Xavi’s team got off to a great start at the Estadi Montilivi. Andreas Christensen scored the first goal just three minutes in.

As a team, Girona has regularly played above their weight this season. After falling behind, the City Football Group team quickly came back and tied the game through Artem Dovbyk.

Just before halftime, Robert Lewandowski scored from the penalty spot to give Barcelona the lead again. This made it 24 goals for the season in all categories.

But the home team took the lead right away after the break, and three goals in ten minutes ended their opponents’ title hopes for good.

As a substitute, Portu scored the equalizer, and then Miguel Gutierrez put his team ahead with a close-range shot that was blocked.

An excellent strike from the edge of the box by Portu doubled his tally for the game and made the result clear.

“It’s amazing to look at your shirt and feel this.” Portu told DAZN with tears in his eyes, “There is nothing more beautiful than living this moment.”

“This club was a pain in the rear.” Years ago, I went through the other side, which was being relegated. I felt very guilty because I played so much. I made things right with the fans today, and now I can smile again.
